Whenever a written work reaches straight into my soul, I feel compelled to read it over and over. Invariably, I commit it to memory. When I left Georgia Tech for the University of Alabama, I was surprised at myself. I had intended to be at my alma mater for life, and, yet was powerfully drawn to take our message to other venues. “I Said” helped me to understand and reconcile my inner conflict.
